This may be a slight overstatement. But the very cute film prof man promised not to fail me! I have discovered that the knack of getting French film professors to love you is to say to them, "I want to work doing English subtitles for French films so they are done articulately and respect the nuances of laguage." I wasn't even lying, and for a second I thought he was going to hug me. Also, "I've seen Cléo de 5 à 7 and it's my favorite movie, but I also like Bresson's Jeanne d'Arc" tends to go over really really well.

One of my exam questions was on M. As much as it drove me nuts, I thank heaven for the German Expressionism class.

I hate that 92% of the French pop that I know comes off of Lac du Bois cds of people that I have slept with. Mostly because then I know the song, and I know that I know it, but I have no clue what it's called or who it's by. The point of this being that I now have a song fragment stuck in my head from the clock radio. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. If I pass this grammar exam I might go buy some Kyo.

Why is my reaction to finals invariably "let's go play with the degree audit?"
Classes I have to take next year:
French seminar
French 300-level
French elective (possibly can sneak around this)
Film 200 or 300 level
3 PE credits

Four other classes to fill up time--possibly another French just to not get fucked over credit-transfer wise.
I may take beginning Italian. Or Intermediate Spanish, if I can remember enough to test into it. A gender studies. . .ooooh I could take French gender studies! Or. . .the mind boggles. I wonder if there's a Sanskrit offered at all next year. . .might even venture into the Consortium for this one. I have no desire to learn Russian. . .there are too many associations with it for it to be any fun. Perhaps I'll take Noël's Elvish class over J-term.

I miss Kat. . .I loved "Women's Bodies." I got to color vulva pictures for a week. So much more fun than Water Politics of the Nile Basin.
